Slipstream Timing and Meet Management

My 12 yo son was running at a meet recently that Slipstream Timing & Meet Management of Telford TN was doing the timing.  The owner of Slipstream (Mr. Brian Buckner) was performing the timing himself at this Fenders Farm cross country race. When my son finished his race he walked between the timing table and the finish line. No caution tape or cones to keep people from walking through this area where Mr. Buckner had some cables going from his timing equipment to the camera (quite expensive to be fair to him). Mr. Buckner (all 300 lbs or so) yells "get out of there!" and grabs my son (all 70 pounds of him soaking wet) by his track jersey, drags him a step or two and slings him to the side. Believe me this is no exaggeration. My son caught his balance before falling in front of everyone. Myself and some other parents were shocked. I did not know how to react for a moment or two. I told Mr. Buckner that I would like to discuss what he did to my son after the race was complete and he was done doing his timing duties. When the race was complete, I approached Mr. Buckner (with my son by my side so as not to appear confrontational) thinking that maybe he would feel bad about grabbing and tossing a small child like a rag doll and maybe apologize to the child. Well, shocker number two. When I told him I did not appreciate what he did, Mr. Buckner says "Yes, I pushed him and I will do it again". I was amazed!! I told him that he must be real proud of himself pushing a small child around and he then shoves me and invites me to either A) hit him or B) call the police. That part was witnessed by an off duty police officer. This guy, in my opinion, is terrible and does not need to be around kids if he is going to assault and then threaten them. Even when interviewed by the police about it (yes, I chose option B that he gave me earlier), he was totally arrogant and unapologetic. I am amazed that people would hire this guy. Sad, truly sad. Please keep this in mind if you are looking for a "professional" outfit to do your race timing.
